Back Home with Family

We spent Christmas Eve with Manly Man's family. This is Country Girl with 2 of her favorite cousins. After Christmas, we went to a Mexican Restaurant to celebrate Manly's Sister-in-laws birthday.

This is Manly Man's kid clan. We are missing 1 nephew who lives out of state and wasn't able to come in.

This is my family. It's smaller. My little niece is 20 months and is such a cutie. Her favorite present was a pack of chap stic that she put on everybody and everything! Little Man is with his favorite buddy, his cousin. He is exactly 1 year older and they have always been perfect for each other. I sure miss not being able to have them together more often.

Our family's tradition is for my dad to read the Christmas story to all before we open presents. Sweetie Jolie pushed Poppa along this year, flipping pages before he even got to read! Country Girl claps because the story took about 45 seconds!

On our way back home, we stopped by our future land. The kids can not wait till it becomes ours. They have dreams of hunting the biggest East Texas Buck and catching the Largest Big Mouth Bass. Hopefully it will be ours is about 3 weeks. It should give me more photo opportunities.

Have a safe and Happy New Year! I started my resolution this morning with the kids. I jogged about 1/4th of a mile - it killed me! I'm committed though. I'll let you know how it goes!

Christmas Celebrations

Little Man brings more!

Santa arrives!

Country Girl has Little Man bring all her presents to her. She never moves from that spot! An I touch, another Guitar Hero, lots of games, boots, belt, clothes... she's set for another year, well, maybe another month until her birthday!

Little Man gets his main present, an PSP. Santa was good to him also. He got games, movies, football cards (his new craze), boots, clothes, fishing pole and much more.

They cleaned up and got ready to head to family in the PineyWoods!

What the ???

Bailey loves her new home. I came home Friday night and this is what I saw peeking out of the barn. She found her feed! Saturday morning I get up and head to the mall. When I get home I found this...
A round pen in our front yard. Well... no way! I was just as upset as our high class neighbor! Manly Man said that Neighbor came out peeked through the bushes, pressed his lips together, shook his head. That's almost worth me allowing it to stay. But... I do care a little about our image. Don't want to look too redneck in this high flutin' neighborhood. So, after a few choice words, Manly Man and Counrty Girl went to work takin' it down, movin' it to the back of the property. I refused to help! Just gripped while I watched them work. Isn't that the woman's job - nagging.

Country Girl poops out! So... I know I said that I wasn't helping, but, baby girl gets too tired.
So, here I go. Things would have been o.k. if Country Girl hadn't said, "Daddy, why does the gate open the wrong way?" What the **** You've got to be kidding me. We put the dang thing up backwards! Eeeeeeewwww, I was not happy.
Manly Man squats and surveys the problem. "Well, no big deal" he says, "We just have to take it down, again, and put it back up." Ooohhhh, Manly Man owes me BIG!
Sunday - it's built and Country Girl rides again.

We even get Brother on Bailey. Maybe all the work was worth it.

Wake Up Bailey

I think we bought the sweetest horse and quiet possibly the sleepiest! In all our pictures, she has her eyes closed!

I think she is playing possum so that we will not ride her!

Country Girl is still trying to name her. Her registered name is Marilyn Chex. Marilyn? Who would name a horse Marilyn! Lacy likes Platinum. But we have all been calling her Bailey. Any ideas? I am going to google girl horse names.

Blondie? Goldie Locks? Nothing seems to fit. She's still sleepin'!

Band Concert

Country Girl made Honor Band this year. She's the only girl saxophonist! They had their first band concert last night. They sounded great. We were so impressed.

They were dressed so sharp. Tuxedo shirts, black slacks, vests and bowties. This is country girl with a neighbor friend who is also in Honor band. They looked so cute and sounded great for a 7th and 8th grade band.

Welcome Home

Meet our newest member to the Breckenridge Bunch - Bailey. She is a registered Palomino reining horse. She can lead change, side pass, spin, run to a stop... and on top of that, she's a beauty! Country Girl will be taking her each week to reining lessons to get her ready for her first show.
