Down on Grandpa's Farm

Last weekend we went to my Granny and Grandpa's farm. This is one of my kids favorite places to go. They think this old house is just the coolest! This is a picture of the front.

Grandpa is 84 and still bales his own hay. He even puts it up in the barn. This year he did hire two teenagers to help him, but he worked just as hard as they did!

I always thought that grandpa looked like the Marlboro man. I need to get a closeup of him!

Lacy's favorite part is driving the truck up and down the rows while Manly Man loads the trailor.

Doesn't Little Man look bored and hot in the back of the truck. He soon jumps out and heads straight to the pond to cool off.

The best part of the whole day for the kids was swimming in the pond called 'the tank', with Goldie, Grandpa's dog.

Little Man ended the day with a climb in a pine tree that my brother took to my grandparents farm 24 years ago and planted for them. It is a great climbing tree.

Kickin' Off Summer

It's our first day of summer! Ben had his first day of summer football camp. I really wanted to take pictures of him at camp, but out of about 200 kids, no other mom was taking pictures. I will take some pictures the last day, though, for the big scrimmage game! I took some of him when we got home. He was just too cute. All the little boys thought they were so tough! Just about all of them were as skinny as Ben. Lacy is beginning her summer just like a teenager, lying on the couch watching T.V. all day! I'll give her one day to be lazy.
